Shavo Odadjian, from SOAD, debuts new project Seven Hours After Violet.

"This is my favorite thing I've done since System," the bassist said about the project.

Shavo Odadjian , from System Of A Down , has released his new solo project Seven Hours After Violet with the single “Paradise,” which you can listen to at the end of this article.

The bassist revealed the lineup for the project, which features Taylor Barber ( Left To Suffer ) on vocals, Alejandro Aranda ( Scarypoolparty ) on guitar and backing vocals, Morgoth and Josh Johnson ( Winds of Plague ) on guitar and drums, respectively.

Speaking about the new song, Odadjian says that the track “showcases the various dynamics we’ve explored, making it the perfect introduction to Seven Hours After Violet.”

“I’ve been making music for over 30 years and I wanted to do something super heavy, but melodic, and go back to my roots,” he continued. “Until this band, all the side projects I did were outside the realm of heavy music. I avoided anything heavy because System Of A Down is heavy. As soon as I started Seven Hours After Violet, I had to abandon that. I said, ‘let me follow my instincts and do what I’m best at’”.

Odadjian confessed that this is his "favorite thing I've done since System, and I can't wait for the world to hear it."
