Sharon Osbourne revealed to Metal Hammer and Music News Black Sabbath hologram concerts in the coming years.
She says, “Technology keeps advancing. You can do amazing things now, so imagine what you’ll be able to do in five years. It will be even better.”
In 2018, Ozzy Osbourne also commented on the matter. When asked about doing his own Hologram tour , the madman replied: “If I leave, I won’t have anything to complain about. I am the prince of darkness, I will come after you.”
As reported, Black Sabbath is preparing for their farewell concert . Scheduled for July 5th, the band will perform their final act with their original lineup, featuring Tony Iommi , Geezer Butler , Bill Ward , and of course, Ozzy. The event will take place in the founders' hometown of Birmingham, England.
In a recent interview with NME , Ozzy's wife and manager , Sharon Osbourne, stated that there were some surprises in store, but she couldn't give any certainty about the musicians' future after their farewell . Furthermore, Sharon emphasized that "Black Sabbath achieved and accomplished a great deal. Now it's time for them to take care of their personal lives."
Black Sabbath's Farewell
Black Sabbath will perform their farewell concert at Villa Park , the stadium of Aston Villa, the beloved team of all four members. All proceeds from the event will be donated to charities such as Cure Parkinson’s , Birmingham Children’s Hospital , and Acorn Children’s Hospice .
In a statement, Ozzy commented: “It’s my time to go back to the beginning… time to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do this with the help of people I love? Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”
With the original lineup, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward will play together for the first time in over 20 years and possibly for the last time in their careers.
In addition to the main act, the stratospheric event will feature performances by various bands and friends, such as Metallica , Anthrax , Pantera , Gojira , Alice in Chains, among others , and special guests like Zakk Wylde , Billy Corgan ( Smashing Pumpkins ), Fred Durst ( Limp Bizkit ), Tobias Forge ( Ghost ), Tom Morello , and many more .
