Sharon Osbourne and Bruce Dickinson 's relationship has always been turbulent since the famous incident at Ozzfest in 2005. Iron Maiden vocalist said that Sharon wanted the end of Black Sabbath .
In a recent interview with Consequence Ozzy Osbourne 's wife once again insulted Bruce:
“Bruce Dickinson is a total jerk. On the Ozzfest tour, Ozzy hired him and paid him every night to play. He accepted. He knew what he was doing. And every night, he said horrible things about Ozzy on stage. And he never apologized, never even went up to Ozzy to say hi. The thing about Bruce is that he's really jealous of Ozzy. That's the problem.”
Sharon adds: “Bruce has a great fan base that is very loyal. The guys in the band are great people. The whole band is great. And they're good, you know, they're an excellent band, there's no denying that and I would never say otherwise. But the thing about Bruce is that he's unknown to the public. Bruce Dickinson could walk anywhere and nobody would know who he is. He's a faceless vocalist to the general public. People aren't killing themselves to get an interview with him. And the thing is, he's not interesting. Ozzy is original and Bruce isn't, and that eats him up inside.”
In the same interview, when asked if he felt underestimated compared to other legends like Bruce, Rob Halford , and Ronnie James Dio , Ozzy commented:
“Bruce Dickinson is a great vocalist, but as a person, I worked with him and he’s not very nice. Ronnie James Dio is no longer alive. He was an excellent vocalist. I didn’t know him very well. I’m not one of those people who talks a lot about others. I don’t sing for judges. I sing for my fans. If my fans don’t buy my music anymore, it means my vocals aren’t the same anymore, but they still buy my records. I’m my own worst critic. I don’t think I’m above Dio or Bruce. It’s not my thing. But I don’t care. I have fun doing what I do. I don’t care if someone thinks I’m a joke. Fine. It’s their opinion,” concludes the Prince of Darkness.
