Sharon Osbourne comments on her relationship with Ozzy: "We're both weirdos."

The couple has been together for over 40 years, and Sharon reveals the "secret behind their successful partnership."

Sharon Osbourne discussed her relationship with Ozzy Osbourne during a new interview with E! News.

There, Sharon revealed the couple's "secret to their successful partnership." They met when Sharon's father, Don Arden , was Black Sabbath . Later, when Osbourne left the group, Sharon took charge of managing the singer's career.

“The thing is, we’re both weirdos,” Sharon said (via Blabbermouth ). “I may look and dress pretty normal, but normal isn’t a word I use often. Ozzy and I are both weirdos and we met when we were young and pretty crazy; I think we come from the same mold. But it hasn’t been easy; in fact, no relationship is easy, you have to work on it every day,” she pointed out.

“You go through difficult times, bad times, and horrible times. But if there is love, there is overcoming. You have to accept people as they are, because they will never be what you want them to be,” she emphasized.

She concluded: “You have to accept them, with their good and bad parts. If you love them enough, you will accept that and realize that you can't change absolutely anything.”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy and Sharon met when Sharon was 18 and Ozzy was 22. After Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, he began dating Sharon, and she took on the role of his manager. The couple married in an intimate ceremony in Maui, Hawaii, in 1982 and have since had three children: Aimée , Kelly, and Jack .

Ozzy and Sharon renewed their wedding vows shortly before their 35th anniversary in May 2017, a year after separating, while reports circulated that he had been caught having an affair with a famous hairdresser. She turned out to be one of several women Ozzy was dating and claimed that she and Ozzy had fallen in love. Ozzy later told Sharon that he would "do whatever it takes to repair the damage" he had caused by his alleged affair.

The couple went to marriage counseling, and Ozzy reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic for sex addiction. Sharon said at the time: “We survived everything: drinking, drugs, and now it’s the women… When you’re sleeping with a lot of women, one of them is going to want more.” Later, Ozzy publicly apologized to the women with whom he had extramarital affairs.
