Ozzy Osbourne 's passing , new details about his final moments have come to light through a visceral account by Sharon Osbourne .
In an interview with host Piers Morgan on the show Uncensored , the businesswoman revealed that her husband seemed aware that his end was near, even reporting mysterious visions days before suffering the fatal heart attack.
The Madman's death, which occurred on the morning of July 22nd, happened just weeks after he took to the stage for the last time with Black Sabbath Back To The Beginning event . According to Sharon, the week leading up to his death was marked by restless nights and premonitory dreams.
Sharon recounted that Ozzy described seeing unknown people in his dreams, standing and staring intently at him, as if they were in a silent waiting room.
“I would ask, ‘What kind of people?’ And he would answer, ‘All different kinds of people. I keep walking and seeing these people every night… Nobody says anything,’” Sharon recalled. For her, the conclusion was clear: “He knew. He was ready.”
The last order in the early morning.
The final farewell, however, was subtle and painful. In the early hours of the 22nd, Ozzy was agitated. Around 4:30 a.m., before going downstairs to do his morning exercises—the moment when he would pass away—he woke his wife with a simple request.
“He said, ‘Wake up.’ I replied, ‘I’m already awake, you woke me up.’ Then he asked, ‘Kiss me.’ And then he added, ‘Hug me tight.’”
The weight of that last hug still haunts Sharon, who opened up about her grief: “I keep wondering if I should have done something differently. If only I had told him I loved him more often, or hugged him tighter. He went downstairs, trained for 20 minutes, and then he was gone.”
Jack Osbourne also spoke about his father's final moments.
Ozzy's death was also a topic of recent conversation with his son, Jack Osbourne , during the reality show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, which aired on November 17th. Jack described his father's passing as a shock, despite his failing health, but emphasized the magnitude of how it all happened.
“It was the ultimate 'mic drop': doing a gigantic show and then saying, 'Okay, I'm done,'” Jack analyzed, referring to his father's last performance with Sabbath. He also joked that Ozzy would have supported his participation in the reality show with his characteristic outspokenness: “'What the hell are you doing?'. But he would have been very supportive. The whole family supported it.” (Transcription via Loudersound ).
