Shane Hawkins , son of Taylor Hawkins , played two shows with Chevy Metal and performed drums on classic Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath .
The 17-year-old drummer performed with his late father's cover band at two shows in California on July 27th and 29th. The shows featured a special guest appearance by Sebastian Bach .
Shane Hawkins, who previously thrilled the internet by taking his father's place on drums for the Foo Fighters , once again showcased his drumming skills by playing "The Wizard" by Black Sabbath and "Moby Dick" by Led Zeppelin. He also played songs by Thin Lizzy , The Kinks , The Police , and Mötley Crüe (via NME ).
Other guests who were present throughout the two nights of Chevy Metal shows were Rikki Rockett , drummer of Poison , Elliot Easton , guitarist of The Cars , and drummer Kenny Aronoff .
