Shaman will be performing in São Paulo this weekend, on July 31st, for a show featuring two albums in their entirety on the setlist: the new Rescue (2022) and the classic Ritual (2002), in a celebration of the latter's 20th anniversary, with special guest appearances.
The band announced guest appearances by Rafael Bittencourt (Angra) , Bruno Sutter , and Fernando Quesada (Anie , ex- Noturnall and Shaman ). Presented by Agência Artística and Honorsounds, the show celebrates the band's past and present phases, as they continue to promote their recently released album Rescue , marking the arrival of Brazilian vocalist Alírio Netto to the lineup alongside original members Hugo Mariutti (guitar), Luís Mariutti (bass), Ricardo Confessori (drums), and Fábio Ribeiro (keyboards).
“My participation in the Shaman show is very special for several reasons. It’s special for me as a musician and as a person. After so many difficulties following the loss of Andre Matos, Shaman is rebuilding and re-establishing itself in the market as one of the biggest Brazilian Metal bands. Furthermore, everyone in Shaman has a connection to my story,” commented Rafael. “And who knows, maybe we’ll have some surprises for the fans!”
“It’s an honor and thrilling to be able to take the stage alongside these musicians who are influences to so many people around the world and always have been and always will be an influence to me as well!”, said Quesada about the show.
“It will be a great honor, once again, to sing with one of my favorite bands from Brazil. Sharing the stage with my friends, especially after the loss of our maestro Andre Matos, is an honor. To continue the legacy he left for all of us. I can't wait to sing with all of you in São Paulo,” commented Sutter.
Tickets for the show in São Paulo can be purchased Ticket360 website starting at 60 reais, with the option of a solidarity floor ticket. Tickets can also be purchased at the Audio box office.
