Continuing the lockdown sessions , Shaman released an unreleased version of their 2002 song "Fairy Tale" last Friday, the 26th. Available on their YouTube , the new video shows the musicians recording their instruments separately, each in their own home, to compose this more intimate reinterpretation of the single.
Other Shaman tracks have already received quarantined versions during lockdown sessions , such as " Reason " and " For Tomorrow ". Currently, the musicians are working on a new album that should be released sometime in 2021. Part of the project is the song "Brand New Me", which got a music video in March 2020 , featuring images of fans having fun at a band concert recorded in São Paulo.
Regarding “Fairy Tale,” guitarist Hugo Mariutti said: “The first time we rehearsed this song in pre-production in Germany, with this version, I had no doubt it would be a hit.” Vocalist Alírio Netto added: “'Fairy Tale' is one of the best ballads in the history of world rock.”
