Guitarist Hugo Mariutti has announced the end of the band Shaman . The announcement was made today, January 10th, via the guitarist's Instagram account.
The band's bassist and founder, Luis Mariutti , Hugo's brother, also announced his departure from the band, as can be seen in the announcement below. In the video, the bassist mentions that drummer Ricardo Confessori were the trigger and motivation for the announced decisions.
Shaman was formed in 2000 by former Angra Andre Matos , Luis Mariutti, and Ricardo Confessori. Shortly after, guitarist Hugo Mariutti joined the group, completing the lineup that lasted until 2006.
The band returned in 2018 for a tour with its original lineup, which was interrupted on June 8, 2019, due to the death of Andre Matos .
