Our next stop on this tour was the renowned Power Prog Metal Fest in Mons, Belgium. The three-day event brought together several important bands such as Avantasia, Behemoth, Stratovarius, Rotting Christ, as well as ourselves, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Queensrÿche, and other prominent bands in the current scene.
PPM-Fest is considered one of the biggest indoor festivals in all of Europe. For this year's edition, the organization invested heavily. They hired big names, set up two stages with top-notch sound and lighting, a well-structured press room, organized dressing rooms, a very well-located and strategically placed merchandising area, excellent catering, and a VIP area with exemplary service. Not to mention that, outside, there was a beautiful camping area.
The attention and care shown by the professionals and volunteers involved in the event was also impressive. Everyone was working for the well-being of the musicians and the fans. There was no ill will towards anything. Everything was discussed, agreed upon, and done. Everything went well! There were no delays, all the bands did their soundcheck/line check within the scheduled time, everything ran perfectly smoothly. A true example of organization and production. Of course, with all this support and respect for the artist and the audience, all the performances were worthy of applause. The band's return to Belgium couldn't have been better!
Right after the show, the crowd rushed to our merchandise booth, and the musicians came down from the stage to meet everyone, who were already lining up to talk to us, get autographs on the records, and capture the moment with lots of photos.
We are extremely grateful to the PPM-Fest production team. We hope to return soon!
Next destination: London, England.
