The 28th show of the Hellish Rock tour took place in the beloved Langen. This city made a big impression on us during the tour with WASP in 2010. On that occasion, Langen gave us one of the best shows of that tour.
As soon as we arrived at the Neue Stadthalle, it was impossible not to remember that true heavy metal music festival. It's been two years, but all those moments are etched in our memory. For us, it was a splendid experience in every sense. After all, everything went right that day. We had all the conditions for a great performance, and that's exactly what we delivered.
However, times have changed. We're touring with two renowned bands, not just one. The responsibility has increased, and we knew beforehand that many people who saw us in 2010 would be coming to the show to see us again and were bringing new friends to introduce us to in terms of performance. Therefore, we had an obligation to do something even better, to surpass ourselves, to show that we've evolved to the people who already knew us and to impress those who had only seen us on YouTube.
Knowing all this, we didn't have much of a choice but to give ourselves body and soul. Everything in Shadowside's career is intense, energetic, and vibrant. We can't be monotonous or stand still. We need that warmth from the audience to keep us alive, pulsating. There's no other reason to hit the road than to put on a great show, win over new fans, and show those who already know us that we're growing every day.
The show was once again perfect and even exceeded our expectations. So many people were singing and rocking out with us. It was a frenetic headbanging session throughout our set. Even those who didn't know the lyrics tried to sing along, showing that they wanted to participate, to interact, to express themselves in the most positive way possible. It's this affection that moves us, that gives us the strength to always move forward! Langen, once again, left us extremely satisfied.
After that, we had a divine dinner and watched a good portion of the Juventus vs. Bayern Munich game, accompanied by the Helloween team and members.
At the end of the Helloween show, we rushed to our merchandise stand to once again feel the warmth of the crowd. We took many photos, signed records, t-shirts, tickets, and even interacted with those who didn't speak a word of German, much less English. In truth, what matters is the universal language of Heavy Metal!
Langen, thank you so much for this new party!
Next destination: Kaufbeuren, Germany.
