It sounds funny, but every day on Shadowside tours there's something new. Sometimes it's good, other times not. This time, the news wasn't pleasant at all. Our beloved GPS decided not to work. After the city tour of Budapest, our guide decided to take a day off, and we had to resort to Google Maps to continue our trip to Bratislava.
Since the next day was a day off, we hit the road at a leisurely pace. We arrived in the Slovakian capital just in time for lunch. To our surprise, we stumbled upon the NTC Arena, found a good parking spot in front of the old ŠK Slovan Bratislava stadium, and set up our "settlement.".
We took advantage of our free time to stroll around and buy some essential items for our daily lives. The most curious thing was walking through the streets of Bratislava and finding a billboard on every corner advertising concerts in the city and in Brezno.
Knowing that the show had excellent publicity, our excitement to get on stage was at its peak. The performance started a little earlier than usual, but, as on all other dates, the crowd arrives very early and creates that traditional party atmosphere in the queue. The audience came in cheerful and we were applauded just for holding up our equipment.
Our first show in Slovakia was very exciting. We kept the same setlist as our last performances, and the crowd's response was extremely positive. At the end, as on every night, we stayed at our merchandise booth attending to everyone. There were many photos, autographs, thank yous, compliments on the show, and several comical situations that gave us lots of laughs.
