Now it's Fábio Carito's turn, the band's bassist, to talk to Wikimetal. Follow Shadowside's journey in Greece!

"Hey everyone, this is Fábio Carito, bassist for Shadowside, writing to you today. After the shows in Italy (Milan and Bologna), our destination was Greece, a country that everyone in the band had a great desire to visit and play in, as we already knew that the Greeks were by far one of the warmest peoples known to man.".

The first show was in the capital, Athens, in two days, and we needed to hurry to get there on time, since we had chosen to travel by land. We took an alternative route that took us through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania, always documenting the landscapes with photos and videos. The weather was mostly cloudy or rainy, which made the journey take a little longer. Finally, after practically a whole day of travel, we were able to cross the border between Albania and Greece without problems, arriving in the first Greek city, Ektos.

We were all hungry and it was the middle of the night, so what was the first place we found? If you guessed a Greek barbecue place, you're wrong! We ended up at a pizzeria and ended up using the Wi-Fi more than eating the pizza. Once we were all fed, we decided to rest so we could continue our journey to Athens early the next morning.

About 5 hours later, the next day, we finally arrived in Athens. It was quite hot, and it was nice to be able to go out on the streets without any warm clothes, which was good for taking a walk while the crew prepared the stage for the bands. Meanwhile, Raphael, Fabio, and I went to a local shopping mall near the venue. We ended up just trying some ice cream and returned for our soundcheck.

What can I say about the Athens audience? What they say about them is true: excitement from beginning to end! It's wonderful to play for such an energetic and intense crowd, and at the end of the show, our name is cheered by everyone present. I'm sure we made a great impression, and we still had the second (and last) Greek city to go: Thessaloniki. At the end of the event, we posed for countless photos, signed some merchandise, and chatted with some of the attendees before continuing our journey. Athens will leave me with the memory of one of the best shows I've ever done, and I'm sure it will for everyone in Shadowside as well.

Thessaloniki was four hours from Athens, and thanks to the good weather (so far it was the only country where we hadn't encountered rain), all the stage logistics were set up in advance. This allowed us to experience a bit of Greek tradition by visiting a small festival in a very cozy, almost fairground setting.

The stage was a little smaller than the one at the previous show, but the Greeks' enthusiasm wasn't; in other words, they rocked from beginning to end! All of Dani's speeches were received with excitement, and once again we had a lot of fun on stage.

After our show, we went to check out a typical pub very close to the concert venue and then went back to watch part of the Helloween show.

With a sense of mission accomplished, we set off for what was so far the biggest (and pleasant) surprise of the tour: Istanbul!
