Sex Pistols biopic has finally received a release date. Pistol arrives on Hulu on May 31st in the United States, and on Disney+ in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. It has not yet been confirmed when the series will arrive in Brazil.
Like many things among the remaining members of the Sex Pistols, the series has been the source of much drama between members Steve Jones and Paul Cook , leading John Lydon take legal action in an attempt to keep the project going. The vocalist lost the case after refusing to license the group's music for the series , which will be directed by the renowned Danny Boyle.
Pistol was inspired by Jones' memoir Lonely Boy: Tales From a Sex Pistol, released in 2017. The series also features executive production by the guitarist and production by FX. The full cast has been announced and exclusive behind-the-scenes photos have been released. See below.
