Sex Pistols resurface with dates scheduled for August of this year.

Without Johnny Rotten, the band returns with Frank Carter for shows.

The legendary English punk rock group The Sex Pistols , inactive since 2008, returns to the stage alongside singer and tattoo artist Frank Carter . The shows will take place on August 13th and 14th, 2024, and will feature a complete performance of Never Mind The Bollocks , the band's first and only album.

The band is performing without frontman Johnny Rotten , who lost a legal battle against the band in 2021. Guest singer Frank Carter is a longtime friend of the other members, Paul Cook , Glen Matlock , and Steve Jones . Carter has previously been a member of the groups Gallows , Pure Love , and Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes . “This has been a joy from beginning to end. When THE SEX PISTOLS call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of this,” Frank said (via Blabbermouth ).

Bush Hall: an important cultural center

Artists are gathering to raise funds for Bush Hall , a historic London music venue located in the Shepherd's Bush . The venue has existed since 1904, when it was a dance hall. Later, it was transformed into a mess hall during World War II, a bingo hall, and a rehearsal space for big names in music, such as The Who , Cliff Richard , and others (via Bush Hall Official Website ).

In the 80s and 90s, the venue was also a social and billiards club, before undergoing renovations with the aim of reopening for a musical purpose. The current owners are Charlie Raworth and Emma Hutchinson , and their space hosts different events. But the place is known for its music, having hosted performances by names like REM , Amy Winehouse , The Killers , as well as being a space for promising new artists.

The venue is facing rising prices in the area and a decrease in demand for live shows. As a result, it risks closing its doors, as do other establishments in the region. “We’re going to play Pistols songs because they need support and money. We thought it would be a great way to help. This is my place. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live around here. It would be a shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going,” said Paul Cook (via Blabbermouth ).

Ticket sales begin next Wednesday, the 5th, through the Live Nation . Profits from ticket sales will be donated to invest in the venue's facilities and support existing artists and projects at Bush Hall .
