A tape of a documentary that told the story of the Sex Pistols in the 1970s went up for auction and could sell for £10,000 (approximately R$ 77,500).

The tape is the master tape of The Filth & The Fury: A Sex Pistols Film , directed by Julien Temple , which was released in 2000. The film can be found on DVD and YouTube , but sellers said the tape contains 12 unique minutes featuring recordings of "God Save The Queen," "Pretty Vacant," and "Holidays in the Sun," as well as excerpts from interviews with the band members.

“This is an exceptionally rare piece of musical history celebrating an iconic group that paved the way to fame in the mid-1970s and broke the mold in music, fashion, style and attitude,” said consultant Claire Howell . The auction is scheduled for March 23.

Earlier this month, Pistol , a biographical series about Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones , had its first images revealed – see them below. Produced by FX Productions, the series does not yet have a release date.
