The punk rock of the Sex Pistols should be hitting the big screen soon.
A biopic about the anarchic career of the punk band Sex Pistols is in production. The film will follow the success of Bohemian Rhapsody .
The 70s icons are set to be the next iconic band to have their story told on the big screen. The production company Starlight Films has been working on the initial stages of production for the past 18 months.
Director Ayesha Plunkett told the Daily Star : “We are impressed with the box office of Bohemian Rhapsody . This shows that audiences have an appetite for these kinds of films.”
While filming hasn't started yet, the production is already searching for the cast. The film is expected to focus on producer Malcolm McLaren and designer Vivienne Westwood . The pair owned a clothing store in Chelsea in the 1970s. They were a major influence on what would become punk fashion in the UK.
