Seu Juvenal releases new album; listen to 'Brincando Com Ódio'

The band brings the stubbornness to betray movements through their music

The band Seu Juvenal , has just released their new studio album, Brincando Com Ódio (Playing with Hate) , which features eight unreleased songs recorded at Sonastério studio in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais. The group consists of guitarist Edson Zacca , bassist Fabiano Minimim , vocalist Bruno Bastos , and drummer Renato Zaca .

“Few Brazilians realize they are playing with fire by blindly supporting our current government. They still haven't learned that after all the failed political experiences, the last thing we can do is believe in myths. So, for the album cover, we used the image of a child innocently playing with imaginary enemies to illustrate this statement that Brazil is playing with hatred,” describes Zacca.

The cover of Seu Juvenal's new album also illustrates the band's critique. The group reinforces the idea that it was born determined to betray movements and, in addition to having a strong political stance, they draw influences from Nelson Cavaquinho , The Stooges , Sonic Youth and Venom .
