Musician was involved in a car accident on the 29th

Seth Howard , drummer for the band Yashira , passed away last Saturday, the 29th, at the age of 24 after being involved in a car accident.

According to News4Jax , Howard was driving near Gainesville, Florida, when he collided head-on with a Toyota Camry. The drummer died instantly, while the driver and passenger of the Camry were taken to the hospital.

Yashira, a heavy metal band from Florida, released their debut album, Shrine, in April of this year with the Good Fight Music label. The group was touring with Zao and Atlas Moth and this year played at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Jacksonville.

In addition to their debut album, the band had also released "Led to Ache" in September. Following the tragedy, Yashira posted a statement on his Facebook page, lamenting the loss.

In the statement, the band members recall that Seth was one of the first to join the band. They also mention that the drummer loved being on the road and was always a smiling and cheerful person.

“Regarding our future, we still don’t know what we will do. We are trying to process what happened (…) For now, all we know is that we and the family are missing him.”
