These Grey Men is the new project of System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan.
Serj Tankian , vocalist of System of a Down , M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold , and Tom Morello will be joining forces in a new project. These Grey Men is the new band of System of a Down John Dolmayan
Dolmayan announced These Grey Men in 2014, promising a covers album and tours with the project.
In a new interview with SOAD Mexico, Dolmayan offered an update on the album's progress. “I’m still working on it. It will be released in the next four months. All the songs are finished, but I’m in the process of adding the string instruments. And then, we’ll mix some songs that are already done. And there are some really cool artists on the album. Serj sang two songs, Matt from Avenged Sevenfold sang one. Many friends came to help. Tom Morello played guitar on one of the tracks.”
Dolmayan explained part of the reason for the delay. “I had two children in the process; I stopped doing everything to focus on being a father. So, it takes time. But I hope people like it.”
