"Serj is very progressive. But he also has some conservative ideas. And I think that now that he's running a business, he's understanding how difficult this is and how the oversight hurts these small businesses."

“California doesn’t like small businesses. They want to crush small businesses. They want you to be heavily dependent on corporations and the government. But I have news for you: corporations will only stay here until it’s no longer profitable. When it’s no longer profitable, they’ll leave. No matter what they tell you, they’re only in it for the dollars.” (via Blabbermouth )

John Dolmayan and his support for Donald Trump

The drummer also revealed that he “lost friends and hundreds of thousands of fans” because of his political views. He also said he was “happy” with Donald Trump to the US presidency; for the musician, this brings “a little sanity back” to the country.

“I received a lot of criticism, lost a lot of followers, lost financial opportunities, mainly because I supported [Donald] Trump as president. Because he was my president — I voted for him [three times], and I’m not ashamed to say that… And the reason is because I think he’s doing things for the right reasons.”
