Rocker Serguei had been hospitalized since May 6th
Singer Serguei died this Friday morning (7), at age 85. He had been hospitalized since the end of May in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
The Brazilian rock icon presented with dehydration, malnutrition, and a urinary tract infection. According to doctors, he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. At the end of the month, he developed severe arrhythmia and acute respiratory failure.
The musician was known for his covers of rock classics, always with an exaggerated performance, look, and speech. His look was characterized by ripped clothes, makeup, various accessories, black shirts, and long hair.
Serguei performed at four editions of Rock in Rio (1991, 2001, 2011 and 2013) and had his house in Saquarema transformed into a rock museum.
