Congratulations to WikiBrother Felipe Ávila who won the autographed copy of "Machine Messiah" by Sepultura! See an excerpt from his winning answer:
– The Machine Messiah is the current condition, the serious disease that plagues our world today, a world ruled by “technological” and “cybernetic” gods (read: cell phones, computers, tablets, etc.). People's personalities and mentalities blend and become confused with this kind of “new order,” and those who do not adapt to it invariably end up being treated with distrust, scorn, and disdain by their “peers.”.
It's as if the world were (and isn't it?!) dominated by multiple screens that simultaneously converge and diverge – in the sense of unity, but equally, of separation. And this has become a human construct, since, while technology, the so-called internet, has theoretically reduced distances and geographical boundaries, allowing people from different nations to communicate with great ease, on the other hand, it has also distanced them, imprisoning them in a kind of "dungeon," in a "parallel world" that seems to have more value than the so-called "real world.".
The Machine Messiah, the "Cybernetic God," is omnipresent and has become increasingly powerful and "alive" in the lives of human beings, dominating them, draining their energies, and using them as puppets for his own pleasure.
