Sepultura performed Project46 guitarist Jean Patton on Thursday night, June 23rd, at the Kilkim Žaibu festival in Lithuania. Fan-made videos and photos of the performance can be seen below (via Blabbermouth ).
Patton is with Sepultura, filling in for Andreas Kisser , who had to return to Brazil from the Quadra (2020) European tour due to a family emergency. No further information has been released.
Andreas misses the tour for the second time in his career. In December 1991, the guitarist was unable to perform due to an arm injury and was temporarily replaced on a European tour by Korzus guitarist Silvio Golfetti .
In announcing Jean's replacement, the group wrote on social media: "We would like to welcome Jean, thank him immensely for accepting this invitation which happened so quickly and unexpectedly (the rehearsals so far have been amazing!), and send good vibes to the Kisser family!"
Sepultura continues their European tour for the album Quadra , released in early 2020, but whose promotion was only two years later due to the pandemic. See some photos from the performance below.
