Eloy Casagrande , drummer for Sepultura , suffered an accident during a show in El Paso, United States, last Sunday, the 3rd, and will not be able to continue with the band on tour.
The news was shared by the musician himself on social media with a photo of an X-ray, but the post was deleted shortly afterward. “It is with deep sadness that I announce that I have unfortunately broken my right leg. Yesterday, at the El Paso show, during the intermission between songs, I ended up falling off the stage and fracturing my tibia and fibula,” he explained in the post, which was captured by Roadie Crew . “I am returning to Brazil to begin my recovery. I ask for your support at this time.”
Casagrande further explained that Sepultura's tour will go ahead without him, and the band revealed a few hours later that his replacement will be Bruno Valverde , from Angra . The band performs this Tuesday, the 5th, in Phoenix, and continues tomorrow, the 6th, to San Diego.
