Sepultura preparing a live album to celebrate 40 years on the road. The news was revealed by guitarist Andreas Kisser during an interview with HeadBangers LifeStyle.
During the conversation, the musician was asked if the group was working on a successor to Quadra (2020). Kisser replied: “Not at all. We’re working on a live album. We’re celebrating 40 years next year and we want to do something really special. We’re already recording all the shows from this tour. We’re going to record all the shows and when we feel we have the material, we’re going to release something really special for the fans.” (via Blabbermouth ).
“I think this is the lineup that should be recorded on stage. And we're having a lot of fun with the audience, we're always smiling, having a great time. You know, why not? We're metal, but we also smile [Laughs],” Andreas concludes.
Sepultura's previous live albums include Under A Pale Grey Sky from 2002, Live In São Paulo from 2005, and Metal Veins – Alive In Rock In Rio from 2014.
