Sepultura performed at Rock in Rio this past weekend , where the group played the unreleased track "Isolation" for the first time. This song will be part of their upcoming studio album, the successor to 2017 's Machine Messiah
Now, the group has officially revealed the album cover, which was also unveiled during the festival, and the name. According to Andreas Kisser Quadra was chosen because it means "a limited area with regulatory demarcations, where, according to a set of rules, the game takes place."
“We all come from different backgrounds – countries and nations with their borders and traditions, culture, religions, laws, education, and a set of rules where life happens. Our personalities, beliefs, way of life, the construction of societies and relationships… everything depends on this set of rules we grow up with. These are concepts of creation, gods, death, and ethics,” Kisser said in a statement to the press.
The cover art, which you can see below, was created by Christiano Menezes with executive production by Marcos Hermes . The album itself was produced by Jens Bogren , who also worked on Machine Messiah.
