"It's not much of a surprise, is it? We've already said we want to throw a big party, with friendly and guest bands, a big 'Sepulfest'. And invite the musicians who were part of this band, including the Cavalera brothers, right? I've said this in several interviews, our managers are already communicating. And I hope it happens. We'll see, we have some time to organize it."
Sepultura wants a final show in a stadium.
Originally, the band was going to end its activities in 2024, but Andreas Kisser revealed in an interview that the farewell tour will continue until 2026. The band is putting together a live album commemorating their final series of shows.
Sepultura wants their final show to take place in São Paulo, preferably in a stadium. In an interview with Rolling Stone Brazil , Andreas Kisser said:
“The intention is to do [the final show] in a stadium, without a doubt. It’s the band’s last show. We’re going to invite bands that are part of this history, all the former members, friends, have a party. I think it’s a unique career. Forty years of history, it will be 42 when we have this party next year. We have to celebrate. We created Sepultura and this music in our country, Brazil, with its pros and cons. So, we want to have a big party for all the fans from all over Brazil and even from abroad: many from Europe are already planning to participate.”
