Sepultura announced via social media the cancellation of their shows in Manaus (AM) and São Luís (MA).
The shows that were scheduled for May 16th and 18th, respectively, were part of the Celebrating Life Through Death farewell tour and had already been postponed. Originally scheduled for December 2024, they were postponed due to logistical problems, and now, they have been definitively cancelled.
The band stated that the cancellation was due to "breach of contract," citing the production companies D Music and M2F as responsible, and advised fans to contact the companies for a refund.
Sepultura shared the following statement:
"Sepultura informs the public and fans that, unfortunately, the shows scheduled for May 16th in Manaus/AM and May 18th in São Luís/MA have been cancelled. The decision was made following breaches of contract by the production companies D Music and M2F, responsible for organizing the events.
From the beginning, the band acted with complete professionalism, respect for the public and commitment, even granting extra deadlines and seeking solutions to ensure that the commitments were maintained. We reiterate that the cancellation was not a choice of the band, but rather a consequence of the organizers' failure to fulfill their contractual obligations.
We advise everyone who has already purchased tickets to contact @dmusicshows and @m2f_producoes directly to request a refund. Thank you for your understanding and continued support."
