Farewell tour and change of drummers
A leading exponent of Brazilian metal, the band Sepultura, formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte-MG (via official website ), is recognized nationally and internationally in the music scene. Over the years there have been changes in the group's members, which currently consists of Paulo Xisto (bass), Andreas Kisser (guitar), Derrick Green (vocals) and Greyson Nekrutman (drums), with Paulo being the only member who has been in the group since its initial formation.
After 40 years on the road, Sepultura will be undertaking their farewell tour, titled "Celebrating Life Through Death ," which will last 18 months and will include Brazilian cities, as well as other countries in South America and Europe. Therefore, it was a great surprise to fans when, on February 27th, just before the tour began, Eloy Casagrande announced his departure from the band, stating that he was leaving to join "other projects," which sparked speculation that the drummer had been recruited for the band Slipknot.
In an official statement signed by the remaining members, Sepultura expressed shock at Eloy's departure from the project, who left the group without prior notice, abandoning everything related to the band.

Also announced, Nekrutman spoke about the opportunity to join Sepultura (via Blabbermouth ): “Today I express my sincere gratitude for the incredible opportunity to join the legendary ranks of Sepultura on their farewell tour. Contributing to this legacy is a privilege that fills me with honor and excitement. Sepultura’s fearless approach to exploring new territories in the metal sphere is something I have always admired and strived to emulate in my own musical endeavors.”
Nekrutman continues: “I’m eager to add my own spirit and passion to the mix, to connect with the fans who have supported the band throughout its evolution, and for the electrifying experiences we will create together on stage. These will be new chapters that we will write together, on the stages we will conquer, and the powerful music we will release into the world.”
