Seether , a post-grunge band from South Africa, has announced the release of their ninth studio album, The Surface Seems So Far , scheduled for September 20th. The track “Judas Mind” has been released as the first single.

The announcement came a day after Seether announced a joint tour, which will travel across the United States, with the American band Skillet . The tour, scheduled to begin three days before the album's release, starts in Asheville, North Carolina. The band is also confirmed to play at the Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals.

The first single, “Judas Mind”, is a soaring post-grunge track with melodic, muffled verses and a furious chorus.

“‘Judas Mind’ is a song about coming to an understanding that there are bad actors in our lives who are trying to force an outcome on us that we don’t see as our destiny,” stated vocalist and guitarist Shaun Morgan (via Consequence ). “It’s about standing up against people who have a vision for you that you don’t share.”

The Surface Seems So Far can be ordered in various vinyl colors, on CD, and digitally through Fantasy Records .
