Sebastian Bach gave fans a preview of what his time as the frontman of Twisted Sisterlike. During recent shows in his solo career, the singer included the classic "I Wanna Rock".
According to the website Ultimate Classic Rock, the vocalist performed the song in at least three shows in March. These performances were seen as a sort of "warm-up" for his participation in Twisted Sister's shows, as Bach was recently announced as the vocalist who will be taking over the band's microphones for special performances.
After playing the song at one of the concerts, Bach celebrated the moment with the audience and showed enthusiasm in revisiting the group's repertoire. “Twisted f—in' Sister! Hey, I have a question: does anyone miss the '80s?” exclaimed Bach after playing “I Wanna Rock”
In recent interviews, Sebastian Bach explained that his connection with Twisted Sister goes back much further than the current opportunity.
“One of my all-time favorite bands is Twisted Sister. And Twisted Sister’s music makes me feel like a child inside. That’s what I was talking about on my new album, how rock and roll has a life of its own. So, I’m a real fan—I’m a fan of that music, and that’s really the main reason why I’m doing this. And also to honor the legacy of those songs. And I see it like when Paul Rodgers joined Queen, or when Axl [Rose] replaced Brian Johnson [in AC/DC]. I’m a Twisted Sister fan and always have been, and I love that music,” he recalled in a recent interview.
