During his appearance at Rockin' Metal Revival , Sebastian Bach reminisced about the old days when Skid Row played alongside Pantera and Megadeth , and insisted that, contrary to popular belief, Skid Row was the main act and the other two bands opened for them.
At the time, Skid Row and Pantera toured together and, according to Sebastian, Pantera opened for his band “for a month” before Vulgar Display Of Power (1992) hit the stores, and he emphasized: “They opened for us the night that record was released, I was there!”
“I need to emphasize that we were the headlining band and they opened for us,” said Sebastian. “Many times I read on the internet that ‘Pantera went on tour with special guest Skid Row’ and I’m the only person who says ‘Get the facts straight! What the hell is this? You couldn’t be more wrong!’”
Sebastian Bach insisted that he personally chose not only Pantera to be the opening act, but also Megadeth, who were scheduled to play on the same night as the release of Vulgar Display Of Power. “I don’t want anyone to think, ‘Oh my God, this never happened.’ It did happen, damn it! I chose them! I chose the bands, that’s how it happened!” said Sebastian.
The musician also said he remembers Dave Mustaine being "nice and friendly" backstage and remembers Pantera fans tearing up the lawn during the show. "I went straight to Pantera's dressing room after that and said, 'That was insane, man! It's all recorded! What were you guys doing?' and Dimebag replied, 'We were doing what we do,'" he recounts.
