Last weekend, the music world suffered a tragic loss with the death of Johnny Solinger , former lead singer of Skid Row . The artist suffered from liver failure and passed away at the age of 55.

On Sunday the 27th, Sebastian Bach , who was the lead vocalist for Skid Row until 1996, used his Twitter profile to offer his condolences for Johnny's death, and also stated that the person who replaced him in the band was not the deceased musician, but Sean McCabe, a fact refuted by Sean himself, also known as Shawn .

Initially, Sebastian Bach responded to a tweet from Jeff Scott Soto stating that Johnny Solinger had replaced him as the vocalist for Skid Row. Bach wrote: “It’s very sad when someone dies. My condolences to his family and friends. Actually, he replaced Sean McCabe in Skid Row, not me. It’s hard to wake up to headlines saying the Skid Row vocalist died and see people using my picture. I was kicked out of the band in 1996 and then they hired Sean McCabe.”

Several people refuted Sebastian Bach's version of events and criticized him for putting himself in the spotlight during someone else's mourning period. A few minutes later, Bach tweeted a second message: "My condolences to the family and friends of Johnny Solinger, the vocalist who replaced Sean McCabe in Skid Row. The only contact we had was around 1991. Years before I was kicked out in 1996. It's strange to wake up to the headline 'Skid Row vocalist dies' and see some using a picture of me. Sorry to hear that."

According to Blabbermouth , Sean McCabe used his Facebook page to deny Sebastian Bach's claims. The post, which is now unavailable, reportedly said: “Actually, Sean (Shawn) never sang a Skid Row song and used to be the vocalist for a band called Ozone Monday which included all the members except Baz… I know because it’s me… Rest in peace, Johnny… A really cool guy!”
