Sebastian Bach claims to have boxes of unreleased Skid Row material.

However, the singer doesn't know if it's possible to release the recordings, due to the conflicts with the band.

Even though Sebastian Bach didn't write song lyrics , he is undeniably the most remembered figure from Skid Row 's most successful period. However, during an interview with Talkin' Rock with Meltdown , the singer stated that he possesses boxes of unreleased songs from the band – and also that he doesn't know what to do with the material.

“I have unreleased tapes of 24 tracks from Electric Ladyland [studios] of music we recorded and never released,” Bach explained. “And the only copy of them is in my archives.”

He continued: “We recorded all the shows from the Slave to the Grind on the soundboard using DAT [digital audio tape]. Nobody had a DAT player except me, and nobody wanted those tapes except me. And I have the whole tour on DAT. I have a box with all those DAT tapes that are just sitting there.”

The troubled relationship between Sebastian and Skid Row

During the interview, Bach stated that he wants to release the music he owns. "I'd like to one day do a full box set treatment for Skid Row's first album, for Slave to the Grind , and even Subhuman Race ," he said. However, his complicated relationship with the band makes things more difficult.

“Don’t hold your breath [waiting for the launch],” he continued, and then sent a message to his former Skid Row colleagues.

“Because everyone is angry and upset about what happened in ’96. Whenever they want to get over that, call me. Because I’m the one who has the archives. If anyone wants the Skid Row archives, including Skid Row themselves… I mean, I could put all of that on YouTube this afternoon if I wanted to. But I just sit here, waiting, gathering dust in the box, waiting. Someday, maybe we can release it,” he concluded.

Bach was fired from Skid Row in 1996 after a period of tension and disagreements within the group. Recently, Bach has expressed interest in reuniting with the band for some shows, but his wish has not been granted .
