Sebastian Bach , former vocalist of Skid Row , led the band until 1996 when he was fired, and continues to talk about the band's return.

In an interview, the Rock Daydream Nation asked him how close he came to a reunion with the other members of the classic Skid Row lineup. The vocalist replied [transcription via Blabbermouth ]: “Yes. It came very close to becoming a reality— I don’t know how many years ago, like six, seven years ago. Right before they hired the vocalist [ ZP Theart ] from Dragonforce [at the end of 2015], I had the impression that we were going to get back together. And it was New Year’s Eve and I saw online: ‘Here’s the new Skid Row vocalist.’ And I said, ‘You guys have to be kidding me.’”

Bach continued: “And I texted everyone: ‘Fuck you. Get out of here.’ I was amazed that they were going to hire, like, vocalist number seven or number eight. And they said, ‘Oh, this is just temporary while we sort out the reunion issue.’ But I’m an emotional guy. That’s why I sing for a living. And when I saw the news, I wasn’t happy at all.”

Sebastian Bach says the reunion would yield good music.

Shortly after, the interviewer asked if Bach thought personal conflicts between band members were "good for creating music."

“Well, to a certain extent. To a certain extent. Music has a life of its own. And we, as human beings, are so passionate about music that it causes musicians to argue about it, because we all want it to be the best it can be and we all think we know how to do it. So you'll have a lot of heads banging, like David Lee Roth with Eddie Van Halen , or me with [Skid Row bassist] Rachel [ Bolan ]. I think I know how to do it better, and so does he. The sad part about it is that we're stronger together than apart—or at least we were; maybe not now. [ Laughs ] But I know that if we got back together, we would definitely make good music because I know we know how to do it. But we're all so passionate about Skid Row that we can't agree on the band. And it's very sad.”

Skid Row reunion with Sebastian Bach

Skid Row guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo reunion with Sebastian Bach is out of the question. Although many fans have expressed interest in such a return, the band prioritizes well-being and internal harmony. According to Sabo, he, Rachel Bolan , and Scotti Hill share the same opinion about not revisiting this chapter of Skid Row's history, even in the face of attractive financial offers for a reconciliation with Bach. For the group, friendship, happiness, and stability are more important.

Since Sebastian Bach's departure, the group has undergone several lineup changes, especially regarding the vocalist position. Following the departure of their most recent vocalist, Erik Gronwall , the group even recently performed some shows with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm on vocals.

In a recent interview on The Bad Decisions in March 2025, Skid Row  Dave “Snake” Sabo commented on the band's ongoing search for a new vocalist.
