John Lennon and Yoko Ono 's youngest son , Sean , will interview Paul McCartney in a special tribute to what would have been his father's 80th birthday on October 9th. John Lennon At 80 premieres on October 3rd on BBC Radio 2 .
In the program, the former bandmate will reflect on his relationship with Lennon, recalling the beginning of their partnership, which yielded somewhat dubious results—that is, songs that weren't very good, but which eventually improved (we know!).
“I look back now as a fan, how lucky I was to meet this strange Teddy Boy off the bus, who played music like me, and we stuck together, and man, we complemented each other!” McCartney said in the interview.
The special will also feature appearances by Lennon's eldest son, Julian , and the legendary artist and personal friend of the artist, Elton John .
