This Wednesday, the 29th, the production company Gig Music announced the cancellation of the Scream Invasion . The event was scheduled to take place on November 2nd at Áudio . However, the original plans for the festival were for the shows to happen at Vibra São Paulo.
The festival was supposed to feature performances by Black Veil Brides , Senses Fall , I Set My Friends on Fire , and the Brazilian band Gloria . Underoath and Silverstein were on the lineup, but they canceled their appearances a few weeks ago.
In a statement published on Instagram, the production company said: “It is with a mixture of sadness and indignation that the Scream Invasion festival is canceled. The band Black Veil Brides has just informed us that they will not be coming to the shows in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.”
“We, as the show's ticket buyers, have made all the payments and are fulfilling all the requirements they requested, and now we are waiting for the return of all the payments we made to all the bands. We apologize to the fans once again, assuring them that we did everything to keep the festival going, even with all the cancellations and problems that were caused to us.”
“Refunds for online and in-person purchases are already being processed automatically as follows: Online credit/debit card purchases: The refund will appear on your statement within two billing cycles, depending on your card issuer. Pix purchases: The refund will be processed via the same Pix payment method used for the purchase within 5 days. In-person credit/debit card purchases: The refund will be credited to the same account as the card used.”
