Noah and Lucy lost their father two years ago
Musician Scott Weiland, former vocalist for Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots, passed away on December 3, 2015, just two years shy of his 50th birthday.
On what would have been his 50th birthday, October 27th, his two children, Noah, 17, and Lucy, 15, created a Spotify playlist with songs that remind them of their father.
The playlist features some tracks by Scott Weiland himself and some others that inspired his work.
In a Facebook post by Stone Temple Pilots, Weiland's children provided a track-by-track explanation of their choice of each song.
Daughter Lucy reveals that "Cinnamon" is her favorite song by the band, and Weiland once told her that the inspiration for the track was his mother, Mary Forsberg Weiland, the musician's ex-wife.
Noah writes that Green Day's "Wake Me Up When Septembers End" is on the list because the song was written by lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong when he lost his father.
Scott Weiland was found on the tour bus of his solo band, Wildabouts.
