In an interview with journalist Luiz Carlos Pimentel from R7, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian shared his thoughts on AC/DC continuing without Brian Johnson, who is at risk of hearing loss:
“My personal opinion is, without Brian now, I think they should stop. Why? Why? You are AC/DC. I don’t think they need the money. It would be very difficult to imagine that they continue because they need the money. But who am I to say? That’s just my opinion. But I wish… If Brian can’t do it anymore, I wish the band would stop. But that’s just my humble opinion.”
In the official announcement regarding Johnson's hearing problems in early March, the band stated that the canceled shows would be postponed until later in the year and would likely take place with a guest vocalist.
