Ian talks about the guitarist's departure
In an interview with MTV Hive, Scott Ian said he thinks Rob Caggiano made a mistake leaving Anthrax , but that he should support his friend in whatever decision he makes.
Ian said he had made it clear to the guitarist that he could take a short break from Anthrax, but that Caggiano wanted to leave the band permanently. However, the decision wasn't made until he was sure that Jon Donais , from Shadows Fall, could replace him.
In the interview, Scott Ian also said that Anthrax should return to recording at the end of the year.
