Anthrax: Scott Ian says the band will only release an album when they start touring again.

"I'm not going to release an album and not tour with it – I'm not going to do that."

Anthrax has been working on the successor to For All Kings for quite some time, but according to Scott Ian , the group will only release the album when touring resumes. He said during an interview with Mosh Talks With Beez that it doesn't make sense to release an album without being able to tour to promote it.

In the interview, he lamented the current situation brought about by the coronavirus and said that the band is working on the album slowly, without rushing. "And that gave us more time to work on it," he said.

Ian said that perhaps at the beginning of 2021 it will "start to make sense to record and release the album," but nothing is guaranteed. "For me, releasing an album out of nowhere doesn't make sense. I'm not going to release an album and not tour with it – I'm not going to do that. So we need to be patient – everyone needs to be patient."
