Scott Ian , guitarist for Anthrax , paid a touching tribute on social media to his father-in-law, Meat Loaf , who passed away on January 21st at the age of 74. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Ian, in an Instagram post, wrote: “I have so many stories to tell, and I know they will be told in time. For now, what I know is that Meat's legacy will continue to live on through his family – Pearl [daughter], Amanda [daughter] and Revel [grandson]. Their eternal love for their father and grandfather (Papa Meat) is stronger than the weight of their hearts.” The guitarist concluded by thanking everyone for their kind messages.
Ian married Pearl Aday , daughter of Meat Loaf, eleven years ago. They met in 1999 when Anthrax was touring with Mötley Crüe at Maximum Rock and Pearl was one of the backing vocalists. Their son, Revel Young Ian , was born in June 2011.
