In this week's Wikimetal poll, Scorpions was voted the best German band, with 36% of the votes. Helloween and Rammstein came in second and third place, with 17% and 15% of the votes, respectively.
Scorpions was formed in 1965 and has recorded 19 studio albums. The band has sold approximately 100 million albums worldwide.
In an interview with Wikimetal , Michael Schenker agreed that Scorpions are probably the greatest German artist of all time: “There are very good bands from Germany, no doubt. But looking at commercial success, Scorpions are number one in terms of performance.”
