Scorpions released the single “Hammersmith” this Friday, the 12th. The song was originally released as a bonus track on the British edition of the group's latest album, Rock Believer.

The song is a great tribute to the music venue of the same name, located in London, England. The Hammersmith Odeon has hosted big names in music such as The Who, Queen, AC/DC/Motorhead, and Metallica , which is celebrated in this song.

Speaking about the track, Klaus Meine commented that it takes him back to the time when the band played in small clubs. "We only dreamed of the day we could perform at the Temple of Rock, the Hammersmith Odeon."

Rock Believer was released in February of this year and was recorded primarily at Peppermint Park Studios in Hanover, Germany. The band had originally planned to record the album in Los Angeles with Greg Fidelman ( Slipknot , Metallica ), but due to the pandemic, they had to work remotely with Greg. In the end, Hans-Martin Buff helped the group finalize the album.
