Klaus Meine , lead singer of Scorpions , spoke in a recent interview about the challenges and expectations for the band's return to the stage during their Las Vegas residency, between March 26 and April 16.
According to the artist, returning to the stage during the series of shows in Sin City will be providential in sparing the band and crew from constant travel to different countries. “And we’re very excited. It’s a new show, a new production,” he told AXS TV (via Blabbermouth ).
Asked if it's difficult to continue touring after years on the road, Meine spoke about the impact of the pandemic. “It’s not difficult for the body after 50 years; it’s more difficult for the body after a two-year break. We’ve never had a long break like this and we know it’s a big challenge to get back to the same level playing shows as we used to,” he pointed out. “Especially for me, being the singer, you have to prepare these little pipes for rock, and it’s impossible to do that overnight. You have to prepare. And that goes for the whole band.”
Next Friday, February 25th, Scorpions will release the album Rock Believer . See the cover and tracklist here .
