Scorpions are preparing for the release of their nineteenth studio Rock Believer released the single "Peacemaker" and shown snippets of unreleased songs in a mini-documentary about the creation of the new album.
Divided into three parts, Rock Believer – The Journey shows the dynamics of the German band in the studio and features interviews with the members and professionals involved in the recording of Scorpions' first album of new material since Return to Forever (2015).
So far, two parts of the album have been released, showing excerpts from rehearsals and even recordings of some previously unreleased songs. “It’s a great feeling on this album, you get that live vibe. People don’t record much like this [with all the musicians in the studio] because it takes time and it’s really complicated, but I really prefer playing this way,” commented Mikkey Dee , as transcribed by Wikimetal .
“When I started, I thought about all these years and all the places we’ve played and I had an initial idea – not about a concept album or anything like that, but to take some cities and places that we feel very connected to and find stories, like a narrator, and talk about those old times and highlights along the way,” said Klaus Meine .
The album Rock Believer will be released on February 25th. Stay tuned for other releases announced for 2022 here .
