Scorpions were forced to cancel their performance at the Masters of Rock in Buenos Aires, which was scheduled for last Saturday, April 26th.
In an announcement on social media , the German band explained that lead singer Klaus Meine , 76, contracted a virus and is suspected to have laryngitis, making it impossible for him to sing.

"It is with great regret that Scorpions will not be able to perform in Buenos Aires tonight. Klaus has contracted a virus, is suspected of having laryngitis, and unfortunately will not be able to sing. The band sincerely apologizes to all their beloved fans in Argentina and is extremely disappointed that they cannot play. They will make every effort to return to Argentina in the future."
Scorpions continues their tour of Latin America with shows scheduled in Colombia on April 30th, Ecuador on May 3rd, and Mexico on May 6th and 8th. The band performed in Brazil at the 30th anniversary edition of Monsters of Rock last Saturday, April 19th, in São Paulo , on April 16th at Arena Mané Garrincha in Brasília, and on April 21st at Qualistage in Rio de Janeiro.
