The play will feature songs from the film
English composer and businessman Andrew Lloyd Webber has bought the rights to the 2003 film "School of Rock," with plans to turn it into a Broadway musical.
In an interview with CBC Radio, Webber explained that he is very excited about the project and that he may write new songs for the story. "I can compose some things, but I should use the songs that already exist as well," said the composer.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is known for his work in Evita, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Phantom of the Opera.
