The Brazilian band Scars From The Last Fight offers a timeless reflection on the cruelty of the capitalist system and social inequalities in their latest single, “TIMELESS,” part of Wikimetal on Groover .
In the aggressive track, which features a Spanish-language section in the lyrics, the band questions the price of a lifetime of relentless work for the poor just to survive: “How long will the rich get richer? / How long will the poor get poorer? How long will we see the struggle for dignity / And when will you see how the pigs control us?”
Formed in 2010 with roots in metalcore, the band stood out in its early years with the single "Screenplay," presented on the Estúdio Showlivre program, and released its first album in 2015. The group returns after ceasing activities in 2017, with a new lineup.
Now with Gustavo Souza (guitar), Janderson Andrade (bass), Gabriel Hatoun (drums) and Diego Camargo (vocals) in the line-up, Scars From The Last Fight is working on their second album, which had “TIMELESS” released as its first single in August 2018.
